12000 lb winch

Bolts up fine to my thj engineering bullbar on my 130 surf. Everything works as it should. Looks very similar to runva winches with same housing ,remotes and free spool handle. My Only concern is wether its rainproof and submergable as stated on write up. And the fact it says on winch to not leave in engaged position . So whats to stop the cable from spooling off while driving if thats the case ?could be dangerous if it came loose and wrapped around an axle or driveshaft
